Duncan Cunningham
Regional Director, Greater China
 Since joining Aquent in 2002 to establish the Hong Kong office, Duncan has spearheaded Aquent’s Greater China growth by opening a further five offices across Hong Kong, the Peoples Republic of China and Taiwan.
From industrial temp placements to CEO recruitment, Duncan’s 15-year career has exposed him to all aspects of talent acquisition and business process outsourcing.
His formative years were spent in London finding work across Europe for travelling accountants from Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. During this time he built a successful International Contracting Team for FSS Financial (now Spherion).
One of his key projects while there was advising Price Waterhouse and Coopers & Lybrand on their post merger succession planning, cultural integration and workforce mobility in Central and Eastern Europe. This gained him valuable insight into human capital management and outsourcing.
After a transfer to Australia in 1998, Duncan began his career in the Asia Pacific Region, moving into executive search. He initially worked in Singapore for a boutique firm before heading to Hong Kong where he developed key business units for TMP Worldwide and TIC (Adecco Group).
Since 2002, Duncan has developed Aquent into China’s leading specialist staffing, search and outsourcing provider to the marketing, communications and creative sector.
Duncan is passionate about China and the business of acquiring, developing and retaining talent. He is regularly called upon for expert comment in the media and at industry events. |
